Telangana new state | Telangana new districts

Telangana is a state in the Southern region of India. It has an area of 114,840 km2 and is the twelfth largest state in India. Most of it was part of the princely state of Hyderabad (Medak and Warangal Divisions), which was ruled by theNizams during the British Raj until 1947, and later until 1948, when it joined the Union of India. In 1956, Hyderabad state was dissolved and Andhra State was merged with the Telangana region of the state of Hyderabad to form the state of Andhra Pradesh. On 2 June 2014, Telangana became the 29th state of India, consisting of the ten north-western districts of Andhra Pradesh withHyderabad as its capital.[3] The city of Hyderabad will continue to serve as the joint capital for Andhra Pradesh and the successor state of Telengana for a period of ten years.

Telangana new districts: Telangana has  population of 3.53 crore. Telangana government plan  to create Telangana new districts  for every 15 lakh population with a headquarters closer to all the mandals in the new district.  In the first phase include Mancherial, Jagitial, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Suryapet, Kothagudem and Nagarkurnool. Totally telangana state government want to create 14 new districts instead of the existing 10, making it 24 districts for better administration.The proposal will be final after taking a geographical study.

As per the proposals the Telangana new districts are sought to be created include Siddipet and Sangareddy in Medak district, Wanaparthy and Nagarkurnool in Mahbubnagar district, Suryapet in Nalgonda district, Bhadrachalam in Khammam district, Mancherial in Adilabad district, Jangaon, Jayashankar district in Warangal district, Jagitial in Karimnagar district. Besides, there are plans of reorganising Nizamabad and Rangareddy districts by allotting some areas in both these districts to Medak district.
In Hyderabad demands to reorganise the Hyderabad capital into Hyderabad Central, Charminar, Golconda, Hyderabad East,Hyderabad North and Secunderabad.etc
